The evolution of Journos Ink
Long before global freelance platforms like Upwork or Fiverr existed, Journos Ink was born from a singular, ambitious vision: to create a centralised hub for freelance ICT journalists to market their services. Conceived in a time when the web was still in its infancy, the original Journos Ink was a local, tightly-knit collective of specialists—each armed with a business card and a clear mission to bring journalistic rigor to the burgeoning technology sector.
While the timing for a purely digital freelance portal was not quite right for that era, the spirit of the project never faded. Over the following decade, that mission evolved. The brand transitioned from a marketplace into a professional publishing house, merging my deep background in journalism, editing, and project management with a new commitment to independent authorship. Today, Journos Ink stands as the realisation of that early promise: a structure designed to empower writers and thinkers to own their stories, their sovereignty, and their craft.
