Brian Bakker

Brian is a freelance journalist who has been involved in the IT industry for more than twenty years - ten in a technical role, two-and-a-half as a journalist with ComputerWeek; and eight in marketing and PR. Over the years has twice been recognised as a Telkom ICT Journalist of the Year (2001 & 2006) and has been working full-time as a freelancer since 2004.

Since re-entering journalism, Brian's work has appeared in a wide variety of local and continental publications including: Brainstorm, CIO Africa, Computing SA, IT Web, iWeek, LinuxWorld SA. Some of his work has also been published in ComputerWorld US and he has contritued to several of the industry-focused handbooks published by ICT market research firm, BMI-TechKnowledge.
